On-Site Analysis, Inc. ("OSA"), is
a leader in emerging diagnostic technologies. Combining
industrial experience, expertise in electro-optical instrumentation,
and a good understanding of our customers needs, OSA
has established itself as a supplier of patented, diagnostic
technologies. These easy-to-use high quality analytical
instruments offer users access to special features and benefits
without requiring special knowledge or skills.
The OSA team has many years of experience
in the design, implementation, manufacture, and marketing
of analyzer instrumentation in retail, commercial, and industrial
markets. Areas of specialization within the team include
optical emission, transmission, reflectance, fluorescence
and Raman spectroscopic techniques, as well as physical
property measurements. Our computerized automatic analyzers
require no technical skill to operate, and offer accurate
in-the-field measurements and diagnostics that would otherwise
require sophisticated remote laboratory analysis and interpretation.
OSA markets products directly, through distributors, and
in partnership with selected companies and corporations
worldwide.
The MotorCheck engine, transmission,
and gearbox analyzer has established the company as a leader
in used oil analysis. The MotorCheck, also known as
the TruckCheck and On-Site Analyzer ("OSA"),
offers on-site used oil analysis in five minutes. Used oil
analysis is much like a blood test for cars,
trucks, and other vehicles. The MotorCheck analyzer
measures a series of wear metals, elements, and physical
properties that determine the health of the
vehicle. The results are available in either consumer friendly
or scientific diagnostic formats that are used
to evaluate internal condition of engines, transmissions,
or gearboxes. The On-Site Analyzer has been modified
to expand the range of applications to include mining, marine,
heavy equipment, mini-laboratories, and industrial applications.
The MetalCheck analyzer provides a subset
of the MotorCheck On-Site Analyzer used oil parameters
at a reduced cost. The MetalCheck offers wear metals
and selected elements in an easy to operate configuration
for simple analysis.
The recently introduced FuelCheck analyzer
offers fuel quality properties that impact vehicle performance.
A large proportion of vehicle drivability problems are caused
by fuel quality, and not by engine malfunctions. FuelCheck
is available in both gasoline and diesel models. The gasoline
properties include octane numbers, oxygenates, olefins,
Drivability Index (DI), and other combustion
related parameters. The Drivability Index represents fuel
volatility as it affects driver-perceived performance such
as surging, stalling, and hard starting. DI is often a more
comprehensive and relevant indicator of fuel quality than
the octane number alone. The diesel analyzer properties
include Cetane Number, Cetane Enhancer, Cetane Index, polynuclear
aromatics, density, and other desired parameters.
OSA also manufactures and supplies the solid
state SpecTrace silent molecular tag and
dye analyzer under an agreement with Rohm and Haas of Philadelphia,
PA. Rohm and Haas offers the SpecTrace analyzer as
part of their liquid petroleum marker system. Petroleum
markers offer governments and suppliers a way to enforce
taxation and to maintain brand integrity. The SpecTrace,
manufactured by OSA, immediately evaluates and identifies
the fuel or lubricant and determines if it is pure or whether
it has been adulterated or diluted to escape taxes and/or
franchise fees.
